Pictographs / Petroglyphs / Rock Art
Here you will find galleries of Paleolithic rock art from the Lower Pecos River Region of Texas. Researchers and scholars liken these paintings to books. These paintings date to somewhere around 4,500 BP and possibly older. There are currently 5 distinct styles recognized, Lower Pecos River, Red Monochrome, Red Linear, Historical and Bold Line Geometric. Included here also are sites from Central and far West Texas as well as some petroglyph sites.

Here and There
A gathering of photos from all over.

Landscapes
Texas is a diverse land. From coastal prairies to rolling hills to high mountainous desert. Here you'll find images from a large slice of Texas.

Missions y Presidios
Texas has a full and rich history of Spanish missionaries doing their best to settle and civilize a wild and dangerous country. Here you can see some of the great architecture they left behind.

Windmills
Windmills more than anything else say Texas! to me. Throughout Texas you can see these iconic images of the West. Sadly solar panels and electric pumps are slowly replacing them.
